Dr. Amirudin Abdul Wahab (“Dr. Amir”), Chief Executive Officer of CyberSecurity Malaysia, a strategic agency under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), Malaysia and the agency that monitors sovereignty of the country.

Work Experience:
He has around 25 years of ICT working experience in the telecom and IT sector in the Government as well as in the semi-government and private sectors.
Through his leadership at CyberSecurity Malaysia, Dr. Amir managed to contribute to Malaysia’s achievement in attaining number #3 rank in the world, in the 2014 International Telecom Union (ITU) Global Cyber Security Index and becoming the first World Trustmark Alliance Chairman to be reappointed to a second term, was selected to receive an ASEAN Award as the Outstanding Chief Information/Security Officer Award
He served as an OIC Task Force Member on ICT and Cyber Security and a Fellow at Malaysian Institute of Management

Education:
Dr. Amir holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the School of Information Technology & Electrical Engineering (ITEE), University of Queensland, Australia. Dr. Amir also holds two Masters degrees, a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Duqubue, Iowa, USA, and a Masters in Information Technology from National University of Malaysia (UKM). He is also a Bachelor of Science Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA.
